ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are looking for a senior strategic financier with excellent analytical skills, who is able to work at a senior level across all functions. The ideal candidate will be a strong commercial CFO with experience in setting and assessing business performance. The successful candidate will be someone willing to be hands-on and drive M&A deals (execution and PMI), business finance (and the initiatives linked to insights found) and treasury (managing the capital structure and cash strategically).

Reporting to the CFO and with broad stakeholder access across the leadership team & founders, s/he will be expected to work with a team to:

(i) Deliver on Circles’ inorganic agenda (M&A, fundraising, strategic alliances)
(ii) Set up a world-class SaaS/total org business finance and strategic insights function, powering our decision-making on the organic and inorganic fronts
(iii) Manage treasury in a highly strategic manner, leading bank engagements for debt offering, and continuously optimizing our capital structure as the company grows

This is a group-level role, sitting in Singapore.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • M&A: Run the entire deal lifecycle, support due diligence, manage internal experts/stakeholders; work closely with and possibly manage PMI.
  • Strategy: Leverage insights from involvement in the organic and inorganic streams, enhanced with sharp analysis through the Business Finance team, to shape and execute our short and medium/long-term roadmaps.
  • Planning: Lead a world-class Business Finance (FP&A + Planning + Insights) process to steer the company’s financial health and optimize for cost/growth.
  • Treasury and fundraising: Own fund-raising and debt-issuance, and continuously optimize for the ideal capital structure (closely in partnership with the CFO).
  • Investor relations: Play a critical role in managing the board and existing marquee investors.
  • Collaborate with heads of departments and CXOs to align the org, and deliver board-mandated projects.
  • Work across geographies and verticals, be open to travel.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • 18+ years of Corporate Planning, Corporate Strategy, Corporate Development, Transformation Planning, with a good mix of operational/finance exposure in high-paced environments.
    Ideally, you will have done this in a hyper-growth start-up that is now listed.
  • Comfort working in ambiguous environments and driving clarity with competing objectives.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities.
  • Very Strong Executive communication skills with senior leadership.
