Job Description

* Authorize all payments within the cut-off time imposed
* Authorize and assign all incoming MEPS+/SWIFT advices to the respective recipient departments/branches
* Ensure all AML alerts are cleared by internal stakeholders by end of day. Follow up till closure.
* To keep abreast of SWIFT message format changes and to train Bank’s staff of such changes
* Ensure customers’ queries and investigations are promptly looked into and satisfactorily responded to the customers
* Ensure changes initiated by external regulatory authorities are tested and successfully implemented
* To collaborate with internal stakeholders and render support for bank’s projects in UAT and successful implementation
* To groom/mentor the next-in-line for succession planning
* To train/coach and have monthly 1-2-1 meetings with the team members
* To actively participate in all BCP related exercise and MAS/SWIFT releases/contingency drills and tests
* To manage leave of team members
* To conduct appraisal for team members
* Escalate any operational issues to Senior Manager/Head of Payment Operations
* Back-up for Head of Payment Operations
Qualifications

* Bachelor Degree in respective field
* Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a financial institution with exposure in SWIFT remittances
* Conversant with BCP and MAS/SWIFT industry testing and releases.
* Knowledge of G3 Bulk Payments & G3 Real Time processes.
* SWIFT ISO20022
* Strong analytical skills and an eye for details
* Exposure to run/lead projects
* Able to lead a team of at least 5 to 8 persons
