Responsibilities:

• Responsible to source, negotiate and purchase materials from approved local & overseas vendors.
• Take lead in sourcing for new goods not supplied by regular principals/vendors with the aim to reduce cost whilst maintaining quality and requirements.
• Ensure all purchase request are approved within mandated guidelines.
• Evaluate vendor’s quotation to ensure that they are in line with the technical and commercial specifications required for the project.
• Process the purchase orders correctly by liaising with suppliers, stakeholders and purchasing admin.
• Manage the daily operational purchasing needs such as following up on Purchase Orders delivery and shipment schedules.
• To effectively manage the air and sea freight costs by optimizing the relevant use of incoterms.
• Resolve supply, quality, service and invoices issues with vendors and or other stakeholders.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality standards, delivery time & best competitive prices accordingly to criteria and Company’s requirements.
• Responsible for implementing procurement strategies on urgent deliveries and long lead time items to meet project timeline.
• Undertake any other assigned ad-hoc duties.

Requirements:

• Preferably Diploma in Business Studies/Administration/Management/Procurement/Marine/Engineering or equivalent certifications.
• Minimum 2 years proven relevant experience in the Marine/Offshore industry.
• Good negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work well under stress in a fast pace environment
• Proficient in the use of MS Office Application (Words, Excel) and an acceptable understanding of ERP.
• An organized team player with sense of priority & close attention to details.
