Job Description

  • Responsible for the maintenance of SG WTE Plants (Senoko and Tuas) equipment
  • Be a Safety Leader and contribute to a ‘Safety First’ working culture
  • Assist Engineer and Technical Officer in carrying out preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance efficiently and effectively for process, utilities equipment, Fire Safety equipment and building facilities
  • Assist Engineer and Technical Officer in coordinating and supervising scheduled and unscheduled boilers overhauling jobs
  • Maintain and service rotating equipment such as reactors, pumps, agitators, air compressors and auxiliaries
  • Manage and coordinate with Inhouse Contractors and Ad-hoc Contractors on any repairs, maintenance works, site visit and ensuring the quality of work carried out are as per requirement
  • Monitor and update job status daily
  • Response promptly & attend to call for emergency to minimize operation impacts and enhance reliability
  • Assist Engineer and Technical Officer in maintaining mechanical spare parts inventory
  • Uphold a safe operating environment and carry out all maintenance activities in compliance with Keppel’s policies & procedures as well as plant inhouse rules and government legislation
  • Understand safety requirement for PTW system, LOTO, HIRA works (Hot work, work at height, lifting work, Electrical work, confined space etc.)
  • Able to understand RA, MS, SOP and able to brief & conduct Toolbox meeting to subordinates and supplied workers
  • Participate in plant HSE Committee meeting, HSE inspections and Emergency Response
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor or plant management

Job Requirements

  • At least a Higher NITEC in Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of the principles and mechanics of plant equipment is essential
  • Preferably have attended training relating to HAZMAT/First Aid/Incident Management/Work-at-Height/Confined Space. Trainings will be planned for those who have not been trained
  • Meticulous with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong safety mindset and participate actively in safety initiatives and events
  • Good team-player with high initiative and a can-do attitude
  • An interest in process or Waste-to-Energy (WTE) Plant operations. Must be able to get accustomed to WTE environment
  • Willing and able to respond to emergency activation beyond regular working hours (0800 hrs to 1800 hrs on Mondays to Fridays)
