Within the function ROPU Corporate Affairs, this role contributes its senior experience to strategize, plan and execute all corporate communications activities in the newly formed ROPU ASKAN.
This is a role that serves as the Deputy to the Head of Corporate Affairs at ROPU ASKAN.
The role interacts closely with senior stakeholders, supporting the ROPU Head of Corporate Affairs, ROPU ASKAN. It also supports and advises the OPU teams on governance and coordination, as well as on global campaigns and communication programs.
The Senior Corporate Communications Manager will lead on planning all communication and media activities and engagement across the region including the Human Pharma and Animal Health business. This includes Corporate Topics, Corporate Reputation Building, Issues Management, Leadership and Employee Communications, Internal and External Channel Management and Engagements, Global and Local Corporate Brand Campaigns, and CSR Engagement and Communications.
This position requires an understanding and ability to utilize creative technologies and paid media, a thorough understanding of the region, a proven track record of effective agency management and a deep understanding of the pharma business.
Responsible to shape and execute the Global and ROPU ASKAN Communications Strategic Agenda and its remit and coordinate local execution in the countries. Ensure that global campaigns and communications programs in the role’s remit are in line with and support of the the Global Comms Strategic Agenda and built in inclusive ways with OPU teams in ASKAN and corporate C&PGA functional teams and other core stakeholders.
Responsible for working with the Head of Corporate Affairs in advising senior management in the role`s remit on employee engagement and communication rhythms.
Lead and set direction for global communications. Develop and execute on communication strategies in accordance with BI values, business strategy as well as priorities in the area of work.
Position Boehringer Ingelheim/the Business Unit, its Corporate Brand, Executive Management individuals and products in external and internal communication channels.
Responsible to implement global governance and core processes for all key areas in the role`s remit, to ensure consistent and flawless communications internally and externally across ROPU ASKAN and according to global guidelines and governance protocols.
Strong media relations expertise to strongly position BI as a corporate brand and top employer to external media outlets
Ability to bridge and network the company externally to shift perception and build reputation
Manage third party PR agency for execution of corporate communication agenda across ROPU ASKAN
Responsible to implement a proportionate and strategic internal calendar for senior leaders’ communication, both at team and individual management member levels(including LinkedIn, for external stakeholder engagement for ExCo/GMs).
Internal Communications and management of internal employee channels (e.g. Yammer, MS Teams, MyBI) for Corp Communication and BI topics, including internal employee engagement topics. For example, SEASK Cares, VTI Day, AAI Awards.
This role interacts with the OPU Communication leads and teams, provides senior counsel across ROPU ASKAN to both HP and AH BU for the BI corporate brand.
This role requires a senior seasoned communications professional who possess the maturity and experience, to help lead the new Global Communications Agenda forward in the newly established ROPU ASKAN.
Job operates at the senior level, interacting directly with colleagues of all levels - from senior leaders to middle managers. Key stakeholders include supporting the OPU Communication Managers in ROPU ASKAN.
Background and proven experience in corporate/product communications activities with a broad scope.
Track record in the field of strategic of leadership communications
Crisis and issues management experience, ability to operate under pressure and keep a cool head.
Knows what it takes to run an effective global campaign with impact.
Understands what moves employees through effective internal communications.
Experience in working in a matrixed organization.
Agency Background is strongly preferred.
The actions of this function are highly visible to the direct stakeholders, and they are directly impacting the perception of the respective stakeholders in their key audiences.
Master’s Degree is preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in related fields, including marketing, communications or journalism.
A senior expert with at least 5-7 years of experience who confidently interacts with others and has the robustness to deal with pushback and being challenged.
