Senior Laundry Assistant

Job content

Responsibilities:

· Day to day washing, drying, and folding of Residents’ linen including pajamas, bed sheets, blankets, pillowcases, towels etc.

· Check cleaned linen for any defects – put aside for discard by Laundry Supervisor or mend them accordingly e.g., Dropped buttons from resident pajamas.

· Basic daily cleaning and maintaining of laundry machines, chemicals refill and operating of machines

· Monitor chemical usage and refill

· Report to management of fault or abnormality found in machines

· Comply with Safety Linen SOPs

· Ensure equipment cleanliness at the end of each day and report any irregularities to superior.

· Ensure cleanliness within linens store, laundry room and premises.

· Deliver clean laundry to the wards

· Assist to liaise with laundry vendor when machine breakdown

·Any ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirement:

· Primary School Education

· Physically fit - – able to carry heavy loads of 10 – 25kg.

· On the job training will be provided

· Computer Literacy will be an advantage.

· Ability to work individually and within a team.

· Prior experience as a Laundry Attendant or a similar position in the hospitality industry will be an advantages.
