The antibody biology, which is part of discovery biology division is looking for a highly calibre, laboratory-based research associate to participate in our biologics drug discovery projects. This involves screening and selection of robust therapeutic antibody molecules using different biophysics methods generated from our different discovery platforms. Primary responsibilities include molecular cloning, protein expression using mammalian systems, biophysical characterization, assay development and scale-up to support lead discovery campaigns of various modalities.

Technical skills

• Antibody characterization to include SDS-PGE, ELISA, SPR and BLI
• Protein expression and purification in mammalian expresion system
• Experience with AKTA FPLC purification system
• Experience in standard molecular and cell biology techniques (e.g. PCR, RT-PCR, cloning and RNA extraction)
• Additonal experience in protein modellng is strong plus

Requirements:

?? Degree in relevant discipline (biochemistry, cell biology, biotechnology)

?? 1+ year experience, preferably has some and protein science experience

• Committed to maintaining high standards in quality of science
• Ability to learn and apply techniques rapidly
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize according to project timelines, compile and analyze experimental data and prepare report and meeting presentation
• Ability to work effectively with colleagues in a dynamic environment
