The Cardiovascular and Metabolic Disorders (CVMD) Programme houses state-of-the-art technologies for profiling mitochondrial function and metabolic adaptations in human patients and other model organisms, and undertakes translational and clinical research in cardiovascular and metabolic disorders.




Dr. Wang Yibin’s laboratory has a long-standing research interest in the fundamental mechanisms of cardiovascular and metabolic regulations in physiology and diseases. The laboratory employs state-of-the-art genomic and metabolomic approaches, aiming to identify novel players and mechanisms in transcription and post-transcription regulation, stress-signaling pathways as well as novel therapeutic targets relevant to cardiometabolic disorders.




The selected candidate will perform a variety of research activities which include planning, organising and conducting research studies within the overall scope of a research project under the supervision of the Principal Investigator or his/her designate, including but not limited to the following: -



  • Perform tasks and support all aspects of the research project.

  • Conduct accurate monitoring, documenting and reporting of experimental results and/or research findings.

  • Evaluate and interpret collected data and prepare oral presentations or written reports/ scientific manuscripts/literature for publication.

  • Assist with general upkeep of laboratory needs, maintain safety protocols, provide technical support and establish work procedures to ongoing research projects.

  • Establish laboratory management procedures to maintain high efficiency and productivity of the laboratory.

  • Contribute to project management, presentations and publications of research work.

  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described therein.
