Quantity Surveyor

Job content

• Check, prepare and submit tender documents and ensure submissions meet deadlines.
• Check and ensure terms and conditions of project contracts, Letters of Acceptance and Letters of Intent are in order and acceptable before confirmation.
• Prepare budgetary list of awarded projects, source and obtain quotations from suppliers.
• Prepare project budget report for Management approval.
• Negotiate with suppliers on pricing and award supply contracts to suppliers.
• Liaise with suppliers for samples for submission to clients.
• Issue purchase orders and Letters of Offer to suppliers.
• Verification of additional order requests from sites and factory.
• Prepare, evaluate and process sub-contractors’ claims every fortnightly.
• Issue Letters of Offer to sub-contractors.
• Prepare costing and submit quotations to clients for Variation Orders (VO) items.
• Liaise with main contractor on payments and VO confirmations.
• Prepare Final Account for completed projects and obtain management’s approval.
• Follow up with clients on final payments and release of retentions.
• Liaise with main contractor on performance bonds.
• Prepare monthly report of payment collection forecast and estimation of payments to sub-contractors.
• Any other tasks as may be assigned from time to time.

• Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying / Architecture / Interior Design or its equivalent.
• Preferably with 2-3 years of related work experience in similar capacity.
• Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets.
• Ability to meet deadlines of multiple projects in fast paced environment.
• Attention to details and good knowledge in construction drawings.
• Strong estimating and financial analysis skills.
• Ability to analyze problems and provide solutions.
• Candidates must be currently based in Singapore
