Quality Engineer (North-East|Chemical)

About our client: Our client is a leading manufacturer of adhesives, coatings and light-curring materials for industrial applications.

About the role:

Manage and maintain the company quality inspection and product release programs for incoming, in-process materials/components and finished goods products line (Adhesive).
Bringing together staff of different disciplines and driving the group to plan, formulate and agree to comprehensive quality procedures.
Supervise subordinates in the process of quality tests and checks.
Ensure all internal and external complaints pertaining to product quality are resolved in a timely and complete manner.
Ensure supplier management programs are in compliance with established quality procedures.
Perform/ monitor stability program for new products and transfer products.
Ensure necessary QC support for NPI and NPT process and provide quality decisions for various stages of NPD cycle.
Support and manage shelf-life extension programs for raw materials as per policy
Champion data-driven decisions to achieve cost reduction, problem solutions and continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma tools.
Support and troubleshoot necessary QC equipment such as HPLC, DSC, UV spectrophotometer and conduct related training as required to maintain plant production and testing operations.
Manage the team to develop, implement, communicate, and maintain a quality plan to ensure the Company’s Quality System and Policies are compliant with quality system requirements.
Liaise with customer’s auditors and ensure that corrective actions are executed and in compliance with customer’s specifications.
Carrying out internal system audit/ process audit and ensuring that corrective actions are executed and in compliance with customer’s specifications.
Perform other duties as specified by the management.

About you:

Diploma in material science, chemical engineering, or other relevant disciplines.
3 to 5 years of related experience preferably in a chemical, medical, Pharma, and electronics environment.
Familiar with RCA tools (FMEA, Cause and Effect and Fishbone Diagram)
Demonstrated experience in ISO 9001/ ISO13485/ IATF 16949 and other related quality management systems.
Meticulous and thorough in Quality inspection procedures.
Able to work independently with a high level of initiative and resourcefulness.
