As a Process Control Engineering (Defectivity Shift Engineer), you will be involved in:

  • To allow through the mastering of the processes to reach the objectives of production yield, quality and service.
  • Conducting analysis on defects and signatures; correlate with process or equipment troubleshooting for defectivity root cause.
  • Maintaining and support daily manufacturing activities: Tool down, Lots on Hold, etc. through real time problem analysis, real time solution implementation and real time tool down monitoring.
  • Ensuring smooth WIP during defect inspection and review. No lots on hold unnecessarily.
  • Managing fab crisis and provide support to process module when needed.
  • Providing cross functional/cross-department/cross-fab support & coverage based on needs & priority.
  • Working on shift support as needed and return to normal shift for projects when assigned.
  • Supporting for engineering data collection, analysis and inspection recipe creation.
  • Conducting training to fellow AE/Technicians when necessary.
  • Opportunity to be involve in deployment of Advanced Defectivity Monitoring system involving AI using Convolution Neural Network (CNN) and deep learning with Defectivity and DIT team.

You are suitable for this role if you are/ have:

  • Degree in Material Science/Electrical/Electronics/Microelectronics/ Mechanical/Physics/Chemistry.
  • Preferably with minimum 3 years working experience in semiconductor wafer fabrication industry.
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment and able to multi-task.
  • Able to lead and participate in cross functional problem-solving teams and with good interpersonal skills.
  • Self-driven and independent with an inquisitive mind.
  • Knowledge in Defect inspection and Defect analysis will be advantageous.
  • Knowledge in Klarity Defect/AceXP/Spotfire and other Defectivity related tools.
  • Candidates familiar with Altair KT89xx, AITxx, KLA 2xxx and AMAT SEMVision and Surfscan SPx/6420 has an added advantage.
