Role purpose

  • To support the HSE manager for operational safety & health compliance with all applicable Singapore regulations and Syngenta internal standards, guidelines and procedures.
  • To support the Singapore production manager and operators in their understanding of hazardous control measures associated with site operational activities and provide practical solutions to enable the production team to minimize the likelihood and/or severity of safety & health hazards.
  • To support the implementation of the necessary initiatives to develop Syngenta’s safety & health strategy for the Singapore Plant.

Accountabilities

  • Support the site’s compliance with Syngenta’s HSE Policy and implementation of Syngenta’s HSE management system, including its elements, standards and requirements
  • Schedule and conduct HSE inspections and audits
  • Develop, enforce and promote workplace safety & health procedures
  • Conduct investigation of any incidents or accidents at the workplace
  • Conduct Process and task risk analysis
  • Establish and maintain a connection to authorities and keep abreast of new or emerging HSE legislations
  • Ensure permits are acquired for new facilities/operations and that they are maintained according to applicable regulations
  • Conduct training and maintain all training records as per site procedure
