The successful candidate will be joining a team of researchers and engineers developing 5G enabled solutions and platforms for Manufacturing/Industrial/Enterprise that enable innovative applications by integrating various 5G services and offerings into IT & OT networks in various industry verticals. The staff is expected to contribute to the design and realisation of the virtualized (software defined) computational platforms including public cloud, private/hybrid cloud, and virtualized edge computing platforms. The task involves realisation of virtualized compute platform nodes, both hypervisor based, and container based, from public cloud infrastructure down to edge devices and their integration and end-to-end orchestration. The candidate will also be involved in realisation of multiple use cases and applications of this 5G enabled platform.
Job Requirements
  • Masters in Computer Science, Computer engineering or EEE. Bachelors with extensive and relevant industry experience may also be considered.
  • Experience in development or application of compute virtualisation technologies [Hypervisors, Openstack, VMware, Containers (docker), Kubernetes, Cloud Platforms [AWS, Azure]
  • Strong software and systems development expertise – C/C++, Web Languages/Frameworks (JavaScript, Node.js, scripting languages), version control/DevOps
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in design, development & verification, preferably in technical lead roles
  • Familiarity and experience in some of the following areas will be advantageous:
    • Ethernet & TCP/IP based networking protocols,
    • SDN and applications
    • LINUX/Low latency, Real-time LINUX (preferably at system programming, kernel/device driver development level).
    • Cloud Native Architecture and Application development (Service Oriented Architecture/Microservices)
    • Factory automation/IIoT frameworks
    • Cloud and Data Centre Platforms, Edge Computing Platforms
    • Advanced Manufacturing/Industry4.0/Industrial Automation
