The Discovery Logistics Specialist Team is a dynamic group which functions as part of the Global Clinical Supply organization supporting research laboratories. This team specializes in assisting researchers with their export and domestic shipping needs. They guide researchers on global and local requirements for the shipments, ensuring documentation is complete and that all regulatory aspects are addressed. The team maintains a high level of compliance adherence to ensure that samples move efficiently by working closely with compliance teams. The Discovery Logistics Specialist Team is a dynamic, talented, and experienced global team that evolves with client’s research business which offers a chance to learn new skills and grow with the business.

Purpose:

To assist the research site in providing logistics support to project and operational teams within client research and development organization; accountable for interfacing with R&D teams, vendors/collaborators, Trade Compliance teams, Logistics Operations, and other departments to coordinate, manage and track research reagents and clinical sample shipments to and from internal and external partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and tracking sample shipments from client program teams to internal and external partner sites

  • Liaising with teams to gather and process supporting documentation for shipping materials domestically and internationally

  • Liaising with the concerned Trade Compliance team and Logistics Operations

  • Providing Logistical guidance and expertise to the scientific community within client organization

  • Perform all import and export transaction in compliance with Global Trade Compliance policy and standards and other concerned rules & regulations as applies to all processes, sites, and resources

  • Provide support for KPI’s and metrics

  • Participate in meetings with concerned brokers

  • Update and maintain local company documents supporting logistic and compliance policies

  • Communicate effectively with local regulatory agencies to ensure shipping documents are compliant with regulatory and statutory requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • BSC in biological science or science related discipline or at least 3 years of relevant experience

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including English

  • Excellent attention to details

  • Computer systems experience (e.g., MS Outlook, carrier systems, ERP, SAP)

  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision

  • Familiar with local regulatory (MOH, AVA & NEA, etc.) shipping requirements are preferred
